We had booked the lake house at Terrace Pines for memorial day weekend. Required 3 nights and surprisingly affordable. There were not many pictures of the bedrooms and we were unsure of what was available in the kitchen. I thought I would bring light to that because it would have helped us pack a bit differently. Admittedly theres a phone number to call to ask about additional information not provided on the site... but I hate calling people.
There are 3 bedrooms all on the second floor. One with a king size, one with a queen and one with 2 sets of bunk beds. All of the mattresses are phenomenally comfortable i believe they are memory foam. A note about the bunk room... if you only have adults attending the top bunks are unusable. They give about 2 ft of space to work with. The mattresses are a full size twin and comfortable but we were not nimble enough to get to the 2nd bunk. Maybe kids would love them but as adults they weren't usable. We had luckily packed some air mattresses just in case.
There did not appear to be any type of air conditioning or mini splits on the second floor so keep that in mind. I imagine it gets incredibly hot peak summer. Downstairs had a mini split that worked well.
There is a full kitchen with all utensils and a couple pots and pans. They had cups and bowls/plates so you really dont need to bring any of these things.
We brought a 1 year old and traditional baby proofing is not possible in this space. Im not sure the stair case is even to code to be quite honest. We used a divider they had in a sitting area to block the stairs. This is not a fault of the campground just something to keep in mind.
There is access to little dan hole pond from the lake house. A short steep walk down to it. Its very shallow but offers a serene view. Boats are available for use and are included in the price of your rental. Just need to go to the store to check them out for the day.
The whole campground was very quiet. The loons were very vocal and offered a hauntingly beautiful song in the evenings.

I spent every summer at Terrace Pines… Owned and run by a wonderful family; it’s been in the family for generations. It’s a great place to spend your summers at every age!

We have been booking the same week for many years, but after our last visit we won't be coming back. The bathrooms were clogged and feces on the toilet seats all week, also no toilet paper at times. There are people fighting and screaming all night at some seasonals and nothing is done about it, there is no staff. Random drunk people walking up to our site also, with no one to call or no staff. At the prices they charge you'd think they could get a decent wireless router also. You have to stand within 5 feet of it if you need to make a phone call. Also the camp store has very short hours, the propane fill is out of service, and the pickle ball racquets are mostlsy broke. Dumpsters overflowing. I could go on and on. Since the new owners the prices just keep going up and the quality of camping just keeps going down. I know of at least 4 other sites in our group that are also not rebooking. Good job doubling the prices, we are taking our business elsewhere. Farewell terrace pines!

Our party of nineteen has reserved cabins K1, K2, C3, and K3, along with tent sites 1 and 2. Cabins K1 through K3 are well-maintained and feature full bathrooms, accommodating up to six guests each. Cabin C3 offers a half bath and can sleep four. All cabins and tents are conveniently located near communal bathrooms. Additionally, all cabins provide easy access to the beach and the lake, with cabin K2 offering a lovely lake view. The beach is equipped with paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes for our enjoyment. While there is no cell phone service, we will have complimentary access to Wi-Fi. We are eagerly anticipating our return next year.

I love the beauty of this campground with it truly being in the woods. Yes there have been some changes and that can be an adjustment. Tanya on their staff has been fantastic to bring the campers together, coming up with fun ideas for activities and opportunities to get to know each other better. Tanya has been such a positive force for Terrace Pines this season, along with the rest of the friendly staff!
