Dolly Copp Picnic Pavilion is an excellent venue for hosting events, offering ample space for large gatherings and activities like lawn games. The pavilion is beautifully constructed and features long picnic tables, making it ideal for family functions and celebrations. This was a great spot for what we were doing, which was hosting a reunion without RSVP's. We didn't know how many people to expect and the pavillion can hold a lot of people. It was perfect for that. We held a potluck picnic and took over two tables for the food and a few others for people to sit at. It's a bit dark inside the pavillion so the next time we do this, I might bring some battery operated string lights or something, to brighten things up. The lawn was perfect for lawn games.
The reserved sign was up and posted when expected.
One frustration however was the parking passes. We were told upon reservation that everyone would need one, so we ordered some to be picked up before hand. All our publicity strictly stated that you needed a parking pass. When it came time to confirm pick up of the passes, I was told we didn't need them. I wish we had known that prior to putting all of our PR out about the event as it would have simplified things. I was also surprised to find the local USFS visitor center (Andro office) was closed on a Saturday. It used to be open all the time but I understand staffing and budget cuts. Well....I don't really understand them but know they are the likely issue to why this office was closed and the Saco office is closed three out of 7 days a week as well.
All in all, this is a great, low key, inexpensive location to host an event and know you have covered space and bathrooms.

We love to rent this for family functions and recently used it for our son's graduation. Plenty of tables under the pavilion. Tables are the long picnic tables. Large field that's great for playing games.

We hosted our baby’s 1st birthday at the pavilion. The pavilion is beautifully constructed. We had the fireplace going which was a nice touch. All the kids were able to safely play on the large lawn. Only downside was we could have used a larger barbecue for the burgers, dogs, meats, etc. All in all, this was a beautiful place to celebrate!
