The new management has really taken things up a notch or two. I’m a seasonal/year round visiting camper. I have been noticing a lot of great improvements lately - the campground organizes a whole array of activities and events for both kids and adults - on seasonal weekends and on all major holidays. Since the new management came in, the laundry room was modernized and fully automated. No more carrying quarters around and waiting, and you get a text when your clothes are done washed or dried. The pool, bathhouse and other facilities are also in improved condition.

The CG is a peaceful retreat at the edge of the Poconos, away from all the noise of the cities and towns, but still only about an hour away from NYC and less than 15 minutes away from some fairly large towns with restaurants, big box stores, malls and everything else if you need it. The campground does have a beach area that can be used for fishing, and a large boat launch that can accommodate some of the biggest watercraft and boats. This CG is popular, and it does get busy on some holiday weekends. But overall it is the best campground I’ve personally camped in so far.

We've been coming to this campground for years, which is a great place to come to for camping especially if you have children there's alot of activities for them to do and for adults as well!!
There is a big heated pool, boat ramp and onsite laundry facilities which is great to have!
They recently have changed management, which in my opinion was a great improvement to the campground from previous management!!
The new manager is someone the campground needed she's very friendly, polite to everyone and Ontop of everything in the campground that I could see. When you walk in the office you are greeted and helped right away in a friendly manner. It's also enjoyable to waking up in the morning drinking your coffee outside and management passing by saying good morning to you and actually acknowledging you instead of passing by like your not even there!! Definitely five star campground, I highly recommend it to everyone!!

My family and I have been traveling here for the last 3 years. This camping season we have decided to become seasonal after leaving our last seasonal campground of 2 years. In the past 3 years we have come across 3 different managers while staying at Delaware River. Felicia is by far the best manager this facility has had to date! She has truly put in so much effort to turn this campground around. Not only has she brought new and exciting attractions to the campground but she has done a great job fixing and maintaining prior ones that haven't been in use for years. Not only do her efforts speak volumes but so do her husbands! He works an intense full time job regularly and yet he is always working at the campground on top of that. We have come to know most of the staff extremely well in our time being there and they are all so wonderful. The ones I have spoken to have voiced just how wonderful their jobs have become with Felicia as their boss. The entire staff, Felicia and her husband really are a fantastic team who together are making Delaware River Campground a wonderful place!

★☆☆☆☆ Disappointing and Unprofessional Management

I used to love coming to Delaware River Campground, but this season has been a complete letdown due to the new management. The way campers, seasonals, and even employees are treated is unacceptable. I’ve personally witnessed Felicia being extremely disrespectful to a staff member who clearly works hard and cares about their job. No one deserves that kind of treatment.

There’s obvious favoritism — her family gets free snacks and slushies, while everyone else pays. How is that fair? It creates a really uncomfortable and unfair environment for everyone else.

Her husband and his friends walk around like they don’t want to be bothered, never say hello, and always seem annoyed just to be here. That kind of attitude really brings down the whole vibe of the campground.

Also, gas-powered golf carts are supposedly not allowed… yet I’ve seen one driving around regularly. One rule for us, another for them?

A lot of the seasonal campers are frustrated and disappointed. Even though the previous owners, Jim and Pam, had their flaws, they were respectful, helpful, and truly cared about this place and the people in it.

I really thought this season would be better — sadly, it’s worse.

We went during a VERY rainy weekend and still left feeling like there was plenty to do. Loved the playground area and the RC track was a huge hit.
We rented the loft cabin and it was perfect for us and our small children. It was very clean and comfortable. It had stairs up to the loft- that overlooked the living/kitchen area. A full bath and separate queen bedroom in the back.
We will definitely be back- hopefully for better weather.
