About Riana - Abiquiu Lake

Riana Campground is located on a 150 ft. bluff overlooking the scenic Abiquiu Lake in northern New Mexico, just one hour northwest of charming Santa Fe. The lake sits at an elevation of 6.4 ft on the Rio Chama, a tributary of the legendary Rio Grande.

Everything was great except for having to drive away to get internet access and make a reservation on line when there were numerous open campsites. The camp hosts didn’t seem to have updated information on which sites were open.

Excellent stay! Expansive views and cool nights were perfect for sleeping under the stars. Playground for the kiddos if you need a break from the campsite. Will definitely stay again.

I had an unforgettable amazing experience at camp Riana at Lake Abiquiu. The camp hosts were wonderful and the facilities are very clean. The scenery was very serene and spacious. I did hikings on a few trails, visited the Ghost Ranch and the Purple Lavender Farm. Overall, I highly recommend this campsite for anyone looking to get away from their busy life and enjoy the spacious atmosphere for contemplation and ignite their creativity.

  • Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.

  • During the open season, there is an attendant available at (505) 685-4561
  • Unless otherwise listed, campsites are limited to two camping units (Tent, RV, Trailer, etc.) per site, and 8 people. More than 2 motorized vehicles, or 4 motorcycles, may incur an extra vehicle fee.
