This is a fabulous campground. Well maintained, quiet, beautiful. The sites are adequately spread out for privacy. The host is amazingly helpful and friendly. The gate person is equally so. Love this place!

My review would have been excellent except for one issue: We had Group shelter 1. As such we paid top dollar which entitled us to a “private “ toilet. Even though there is a sign to that effect on the door of the private toilet, campers above and below our site treated our toilet as if there were no posted restrictions for their use. This made my wife feel uncomfortable to the point where I had to accompany her to the toilet at night for safety reasons. There should be a coded lock or a key lock to prevent unauthorized people from using that toilet.

Kevin is the best camp host I have ever encountered. He is kind and so helpful. He has a wealth of local knowledge and is kindly willing to share what he knows. He gave us a great suggestion on a nearby hike to one of Georgia O'Keeffe's treasured painting sites, and once there it was easy to see why. He also saved the day with a jumpstart when our battery died. As far as the facility, it is immaculate, which is surprising given the usage and pressure it gets, especially on weekends.

This seems to be a coveted camping spot, hard to get a reservation here, but when you do you’ve won the lotto! Very lovely, great hiking, fairly private sites. Great camp hosts too. Also close to Ghost Ranch, Echo Amphitheater. Highly recommended!

The site was level and the area clean and quiet. Although I didnt use the showers they were closely. There were a lot of rabbits playing around my site which was entertaining.

Riana Campground is our go-to stopover when we travel from our home in Colorado to Texas and back every year. It is such a pleasant place to start and end our journey. We pull a 33 foot fifth wheel and most sites within Pede Loop are long enough to accommodate truck, trailer, and our extra vehicle. All sites in Pede Loop have great views of the lake. You will not be disappointed.
