Our one month stay at Elk Run was very enjoyable from establishing our reservation until our departure. The management are pleasant, hard working folks that are attentive to the needs of the park and their guests. They also have organized events, which include weekly happy hour, dinner on the grounds sponsored by the owners, and in July they hosted a large cook out and potluck social for the 4th of July celebration. We also enjoyed the church services hosted onsite each Sunday morning. So many wonderful, friendly people stay here! Sites are surrounded by beautiful scenery of huge pines and abundant wildlife visits. The only negative for us was the road noise from the highways. We have been spoiled to living away from traffic noise for many years so we really noticed it, however, most folks especially from the city probably don't.

Our stay at Elk Run RV Park was a very pleasant experience from check in to departure. We were met upon arrival by Jeff who escorted us to our site and was present if we needed assistance. Jeff and Mark have done a wonderful job updating and enhancing the park. The sites are spacious and surrounded by the natural landscape and mountain views. We have seen elk and mule deer near our site, and occasionally there is a herd of wild horses that come through. Wifi was excellent and easy to hook up to. It is also near Ruidoso with its great shopping and restaurants.

One of the best RV campground experiences I've ever had. Owners met us at the gate to guide us in (slightly older Park so navigating can be tricky, but our 41 ft fifth wheel fit great, and it was nice to have extra eyes on it as we pulled in) and met us again at check out to guide us out. Super friendly people, fantastic atmosphere to the park. We make it through Ruidoso a couple times a year and will definitely be staying again!

We stayed at a total of three different RV parks on our trip from the Dallas Texas area to the Grand Canyon. This was our favorite, as we made our way back home. The customer service provided by Jeff, stood out above and beyond the other two that we tried.

We arrived late and the host/ owner (Jeff) agreed to arrive and meet us at the park. We were supposed to get in at eight and we didn't get in till 8:30PM and he didn't blink. They normally close at 6PM. It's a gated community and he was very accommodating showing us to our site and helping my husband navigate the motorhome safely into the space. It was dark and two of them were helping us ensure that we got parked and hooked up safe safely.

The park itself is great w a walking path for exercise and pretty views. They also have nice laundry facilities. The sites had a nice amount of space between some of the rv sites but others were a bit narrow. Overall it was fine.

We were traveling with two young GSP's who are full of energy and I loved that they had dog area that was fenced. They had two different yards in case different size dogs came inside.

On the drive to Elk Run, about a block away we saw galloping wild horses running alongside the road. Crazy cool. Highly recommend this place. For the money, it's a fair value. You get wifi and trash pickup service at your site.

Jeff even let us check out late! Highly recommend!

Because I stayed at Elk Run a few years ago and had a wonderful time, I had high expectations for my second visit and it was even better than the first. The cabin was very nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable and the scenery was beautiful. Throw in the deer and wild horses grazing on the property and the friendliness of the owners and other guests and it made for a great time for my whole family! We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
