It's a nice secluded spot, but still close to the restrooms.

Jemez Falls Campground is a beautiful, well-maintained site known for its serene setting and helpful camp hosts. Campers appreciate the clean facilities, spacious sites, and excellent hiking opportunities, including nearby waterfalls and hot springs. While some guests noted issues with restroom supplies and grass length, the overall experience is positive, with many planning to return.

Great park. Attentive host out site. The campground was clean and tidy and the bathrooms were maintained very well. Beautiful site. Just double check your site size if you have a travel trailer!

The campsite is not well maintained. The fire pits have not been cleaned in years it would appear. The ash just runs through the port windows of the fire pit and the ground around your campsite is covered in a dark filthy dirt ash that gets everywhere.

I like this campground and have camped here several times for its access to favorite trails of mine. This year I was camped at loop 2 site 31. The area around the picnic table and tent site was all fine black dust that got into all of my gear and my dog and I got filthy. I tried spreading a trap o the ground but the dust gathered on top of the tarp and didn’t do any good. Other than that the site and the area is nice. We were evacuated on the second morning due to risk from the McCauley Springs fire. The evacuation was orderly. People were very helpful. The announcement made with a bull horn from the fire truck was hard to understand. Fellow campers let me know what was said.

We have stayed many times. Our first morning this trip we were just starting off on a hike down the canyon when I think it was first responders came through the campground saying it was closed and to evacuate immediately. Which we did. If fire had started earlier that morning and was assessed to be a danger to the campground area. All the emergency people we came in contact with you’re very helpful and professional. I totally appreciate all of them. Thank you very much guys.

Our 3 night stay was shortened to one with evacuation orders due to a fire just down the valley. We loved the camp site and were looking forward to the stay. Everyone evacuated as quickly as possible and even helped other campers who were single in getting things together. We did not get ideas for alternatives until 2 days later - some better information on departure may have been helpful. However, given time constraints probably not possible. We did get a partial refund actioned by Rec.gov which was not expected - we thought USFS should keep the money. We hope the fire is contained and this camping area can re-open.

I could not use my reservation because the campground was evacuated due to a forest fire I couldn’t even get to the campground because the roads were closed. Recreation.gov sent me an email that they would refund only $ 10 dollars of my fee. This is not right.and I will not use your service again. From now on I plan to use private campgrounds and dispersed camping.

Fantastic trail to Jemez Falls. Once at the Falls, they were breathtaking. The campsites were beautiful, clean, quiet and family friendly.

It was so lovely and quiet. The campground hosts were also warm and full of good info about how to enjoy the area. The campsites (at least in Loop 4 where we were) are large and you are not right on top of your neighbors.
