It’s disappointing when you make reservations 6 months ahead of time and when you arrive you don’t get what you paid for. We arrived and the water spigot wasn’t working and we didn’t fill our tanks because in good faith we expected the water to work. Luckily we took enough bottled water to get us through our trip. When we informed the “host” he couldn’t have been less interested and all he could say was “I’m the host, not a plumber”. The bathrooms were filthy at best, the campsites had not been cleaned. The trash dumpster hadn’t been emptied. I have camped at San Antonio my whole life and I have never seen the campground so neglected. Then host then went MIA for days. I’m not sure why he’s even there. Last year when we were there, the bathroom were power washed, the fire pits were clean and the trash was emptied. I hope that something is done to bring the campground back to what it was last year. Rethinking you camp host may be a start.

We enjoyed this site as it is roomy and the driveway is plenty long and level. When this park was remodeled some time ago, they really did a great job installing the retaining walls that line some of the sites, including this one. While it is fairly close to the site to the south and one across the road, the "outdoor living" side of your RV or trailer looks out onto slightly elevated open forest and grassy area, so the site feels quite private. The walk to restrooms and water spigots is not too far. Restrooms were clean and well cared-for and we like that at this campground, the restrooms have electric lighting.

We have camped here every year since 2017. We have always had a great experience here, with friendly, active hosts. This time, we never once saw the host. There was debris in the fire pit when we arrived. The bathrooms were very dirty, like they have not yet been cleaned this season. Other campers helpfully said in their reviews that there was no toilet paper, so I brought plenty of my own, which was fortunate because the bathrooms had run out of toilet paper within 24 hours of our arrival. The toilet paper was never replaced. To me, this is a very disappointing development for San Antonio campground. I hope that this host either improves their service or does not return for a future summer. This beloved campground deserves better care.

The host was not doing anything. He did not clean the bathrooms regularly and he never came to our campsite to check.

Clean campground. Didn’t interact with the host but didn’t need to. Zero cell phone reception (T-Mobile) but that was the point of going camping. Would stay here again.

Camp ground is nice but the fire pit was full of dirt and ashes. It did not appear our site was cleaned for several weeks. The only time we saw the camp host was when our kids showed up and we were working on properly parking cars. They were there in An instant to tell us to move a car but they couldn’t find the time o cleaN the site. What a shame.

Always quiet and pleasant surroundings.
We just wish it was easier to get a reservation. We know it's popular but playing try to beat the clock with others is not easy. We need electric and water, so limited. Thanks so much.
