Very well-maintained campground with an excellent host. We had a nice tent site close to the creek. Peaceful sleeping and great access to the San Antonio spring and other sites in the Jemez mountains.

I love the campground, always have since I was 8 years old.
One question, why can't the camp sites have covers over the tables.
Shade is pretty tough there.

They didn't have water available, that was the only problem. Their repaired system hadn't been tested and reopened. If we hadn't had to conserve so carefully, it would have been nicer, but as it was, the place was in excellent shape, restrooms were clean (well as clean as a vault toilet can be) and the camphost was respectful.

My family loved this group area. We camped for 4 nights. The campground host was awesome! The only thing I would suggest is better(WAY BETTER) signage so people won't walk through the campsites. Multiple people did every day we were camped there and it is very rude to walk through people's camp sites. But none of them thought it was wrong. BETTER SIGNS!!

Good as usual. Issues we had was no water still. Why can't the forest service have the water turned on when they open for the season. Other issue we see is in the federal park camp host doesn't greet you or tell you what is going on or what restrictions and rules are.
