Austere NM-style landscape for family-sized fun, boating, swimming, paddleboarding, fishing and definitely wind surfing as there is almost always a stiff breeze.

Campground is very well constructed and laid out. We had hoped to fish, but the blue-green algae was very heavy. Hiking trails were good and the cell service was exceptional.

Still need to fix the toilet at the Buffalo loop mens room. Maybe stop spending money on new park vehicles and hire a plumber?

The park site was very clean a well prepared for us. The views at site 59 were spectacular!

Restroom in the Ringtail loop needs a good scrubbing. The floor was grungy.

Restrooms/showers need cleaning and maintenance on a more regular basis, Bad odor at times. Really a shame People cannot clean up after themselves.

I was happy to see the new bathroom/shower on Juniper Loop, but extremely disappointed that in the two weeks we were there it was never really cleaned. Yes, they replaced the toilet paper, but the floors were filthy making the showers unusable due to a layer of dirt on the floor. I emailed the office asking for it to be cleaned, but no response. CLEAN THE RESTROOMS!!!!

Used site 34, Juniper loop May 1 to May 6 and had great view of the area. Good location w/ others near but not on top of us, bathroom and shower a two minute walk away. Had shelter w/ picnic table behind us but didn't use it, level site side to side, water and electric w/in easy reach. Visited Overlook site, a trail or two for walking. Unfortunately windy time of year so never put up awning on trailer. Location was 30 minutes or so from big establishments, less if a convenience store w/gas would suffice,but worth the daily views of the sky and mountains

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
