Campsites are nice and quiet. I wish the lake was open longer during the summer hours for later fishing and swimming.

This was a pleasant campground. Our ring was nice. Soap and toilet paper were not replenished the week we were there, so bring your own.

The beach was not open, which was the entire point of reserving for several days with my grandchildren. The only access to the water was dangerous, full of rock and goatheads, we stayed less than one hour on one day, even though we reserved for three.

Some sites have spectacular views, but with the trade off of uneven, sloping and smaller sites (for larger units)
Near by restrooms were closed and looked like they have been closed for a very long time
Showers were very nice in the loop by the lake, folks were friendly, lots to do and see; Tent Rocks is close by
Be sure to arrive very early, as it fills fast
Over all a good place to camp

We love camping at Cochiti because it is convenient at only a 1 hour drive from our home in Albuquerque, we have a choice of dry camping with electricity or sites with both water and electricity and there are 2 dump stations on site (3 units can dump simultaneously. There is a great view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The sites are spaced nicely. There is moderate hiking through the 4 camping areas. You want air conditioning in the summer because the altitude is 1 mi high.
