Park was very beautiful, and we loved our spot(s). We were camping with cousins. We never saw a host/attendant in our 3 nights, which I guess was ok, just surprising. The worst part was that my cousin had his propane grill and a zero-gravity chair stolen. These locations are typically so safe - we were really shocked.

The staff were wonderful. They even hosted a hummingbird info session, open to all campers. If you get the chance, "Go!"
The scenery is beautiful and the park very clean.
We camped in the loop with electrical and water hookups. it was quiet with a beautiful view of the water and cliffs. Note that there is no electrical outlet in the women's bathroom. (not sure about men's), but overall adequate facilities to shower and keep clean!

The pull through spaces in Buffalo Grove are nice, but a little narrow and unlevel. Some are better than others. It didn't look like any of the LED lamps in the sites worked, which was ok for stargazing. The bathhouse was fine on the ladies side, but the men's toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The dump station is kind of awkward since there is a fairly tight turn to line up to if (if you are towing a long trailer) and there is a curb along the dump so you have to use levelers to keep the sewer hose from having a low spot that doesn't empty. A curb cut would be an improvement.
It was nice to have shelters and picnic tables and a view of the lake from our campsite.

Looks like it use to be a nice park. In need of some repairs now. On the men’s bathhouse one of two toilets were out of order. One of two showers were out of order. The there shower had a water bottle over the shower head to direct the spray. The dump station was marked off with yellow caution tape. Over it was a nice quiet and friendly place. I am camping so the first is just minor inconvenience. I would stay there again. Such beauty and so peaceful

The campsites were clean. The bathrooms were clean. The restrooms did run out of toilet paper. The dumpsters were filled to the top people had to put their trash bags on the ground by the dumpsters. It was quiet. Fishing wasn't that great. But other than that I really enjoyed it will definitely be back.
