Great camping. Water, electricity. Great service, we had to find a campground a last minute, Bonnie answered the phone at 11:30 pm and prepare everything for us with a great vibe! Thanks Bonnie

We’ve been coming to this campsite for a few years now, and it’s truly one of our favorite places to stay. The owners are wonderful—so kind, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making your experience the best it can be.

They offer great activities like movie nights, magic shows for the kids, a pool, and even friendly barn animals you can visit. It’s such a fun and family-friendly atmosphere.

What really stands out is how much the owners care. It’s a special place, and we always look forward to coming back. We highly recommend you stop and camp here.

In bookside Campground you can't even talk, you are allowed to put music till 11 and we stopped the music at 10:50 and the security guard came and said to stop being loud when we were being silence and he came 3 times and we didn't like it, we wanted to see the stars and the security guard game again and said that we were being annoying and that we were going though other camps, and he called the manager and we talked to them and we were told that we couldn't make a lot of noise, at this point it felt like harassment. Not coming back

I’m giving this campground a 2 star because the activities were nice and the kids enjoyed the animals and the pool party. The only problem I had was they had a fire truck activity which was $5 per kid I got to the place at 5:05 and the owner stated it was to late that I needed to buy the tickets previously and the lady never stated that to me so my kids got excited for nothing. The owners were friendly but if it wasn’t for that I would give it 0 stars I stayed this past weekend and my last night was the worst night ever there was a party so loud that it lasted until 4:30 am I called the number no answer, had to scream so security can come and tell me to keep the noise down just to complain about the party. They said it wasn’t on their property that they would call the owner and ask them to turn it down, 5 mins later the music got louder, the noise kept my kids up all night I couldn’t even pack up to go home because it was too dark I will never even give this campsite another chance, for the amount of money I spent for 2 nights not worth it. I even spoke with Marie and Jim who have a seasonal spot there and was looking into it but after no sleep I changed that mindset quick. They came to my campsite my first night at 11:05 to tell me to keep the noise down but aloud the party to last until 4:30am, they could have called the police to shut the party down. And I also was charged for 2 electric/water hookups as I stayed on Area 51 and there was only one hookup and one fire pit for 2 families to share.

We had a fantastic stay at Brookside Campground! The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet—perfect for relaxing. They had fun events throughout the weekend that added to the experience without being overwhelming. The little camp store was a great surprise—well stocked and even had some allergy-friendly options, which we really appreciated. Looking forward to coming back!

Thank you for continuing to support the Tents for Troops!
