I was super excited to come here and celebrate my gfs birthday. We knew it would be snowy and rainy but had no idea that the property isn’t salted properly. You need a 4 wheel drive no questions asked but even those cars were getting stuck. The whole driveway to our cabin was solid ice. When we tried to call for help they send someone to tell us to tow our car because they could not help. So, we had to wait 3 hours for a towing company. I will say our neighbors were super nice they tried to help. The cabin itself its okay. You get two pans for cooking, a few knifes, and a tea kettle. You can definitely cook and it’s more than enough space. It’s cute but nothing out of this world for the money we paid. It is super icy and even with the right gear we still were slipping and sliding and almost fell. You could break an arm. Would I come back here in the winter probably not especially if the driveways and paths are solid ice. Also, you do have a limited amount of hot water just an fyi. So overall, i would rate our stay okay :/ Definitely disconnected from the world but not all that.

Katelynn, Stephanie, Lee and Nicole were very much accommodating on my first time staying at a Postcard cabin in the eastern part of the Catskills!! I was a bit skeptical at first being cold but Katelyn assured me and communicated with all the details!! Stephanie had my room nice and ready!! Lee was responsive immediately with any requests and Nicole delivered within seconds!! Cabin was cozy, clean and warm. Shower was surprisingly great for a trailer!! Hot cocoa, picture window and outdoor fire made it even better!! Thank you for a great stay and hope to see you soon!!

We had such a great time at the Postcard Cabins. We stayed for a few nights and had the loveliest snowy view the whole time. The cabin is perfect for two people and smelled like new wood, making it even cozier. As you can see in the website photos, the kitchen and space is small but you can easily bring some groceries to prepare food for a few days (there is no oven oven or microwave, so just be prepared for stovetop or fire pit cooking). Management was super friendly & responsive and even restocked the pour-over coffee packets/snacks/complimentary s’mores kits/etc, each day.

The surrounding area was very peaceful and the fire pit was so fun to have - it was a great way to get outside for some fresh air. There are a ton of hikes and activities in the area, even ones that you can do in the snow. We also made our way to Hudson for some really cool breweries and restaurants when we wanted to go out. Overall, I’d highly recommend this to anyone and would already like to plan a trip back during another season!

Here's my honest review on this glamping experience. I loved how easy it was to get to this location and its not totally secluded for those who can't fathom being in a forest away from civilization. Honestly you're less then a 10min drive from stores, restaurants, and bars. There are homes directly across from the entrance from this location so seclusion isn't an issue. I prefer seclusion but this was a good go between.

The Pro: Beside location and the availability of stores near by...I say the convenience fee was my favorite. That fee which is already built into your hotel bill when you book provides 3 bundles of fire wood with a starter. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and s'more for 2 per day that your booked. The cabin has everything you may need or forgotten. Plates, coffee mugs, cups, utensils, kitchen hand towels, paper towels, a pot, a frying pan (these things are sturdy and I was able to cook on the open flame with it, definitely not your regular house pan). They provide a large roll of thick foil paper that can be used for grilling. Pet bowls if you travel with animals. Towels, toiletries (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper) dishes soap and sponges. They even have a kitchen radio for tunes and a Bluetooth speaker for outside. They give you multiple garbage bins and bags. A small cute retro refrigerator and 2 electric burner stove. You have shades on the windows for privacy but the windows doesn't face the other cabins which was great. The outside seating area and fire pit were so well planned. There's a picnic table and a shovel for snow outside along with a weather proof container for the wood. They literally have thought of everything. Also complete control over your comfort in the room, whether you run cold or hot you can adjust the temperature.

CON:There's no hiking trail attached to this location but I know other (depending on location) have them. However there are several trails you can drive too and they are about 30min away. The bed wasn't comfy per say and the pillows were terrible. Seriously bring your own pillows lol. I think the Marriott can improve on that aspect because it is after all "glamping". This doesn't reflect poorly on management because the ppl who run it don't pick the furnishings. There's no top sheet on the bed but I knew that based on another's review and I brought my own because I didn't like the idea of having a comforter directly on me. The place can use better fingertips maintenance. Example my mini fridge smelled so bad...like onions and old food. I However always travel with cleaning supplies and cleaned the funk out. Also the fridge wobble and the papers they put under it to study it was worn. The heating vents and ac units were visibly dirty. Some dust but also some stains. I think the Marriott should do a deep cleaning every 6m. Spring time and right before winter. Its not something maintenance should have to do often because I understand turn around times have to be quick but 2 times a year should suffice. (Pic will be attached of all good and bad) The shower for me was good and bad. Good because it had a glass door and I hate hotel shower curtain. Bad because the caulk is molding and so is the shower floor. Bring shower shoes...I always wear slippers so I was able to shower with those. The counters and seating areas are worn. Maybe by luggage and pets but a good sanding and sealing can go a long way. Hot water is in short supply but they warn you....10 maybe 15min max of hot water. So shower with that in mind. Also no sink in the bathroom and I didn't enjoy washing my hands or teeth in the same place as dishes. Can make it work now that you know but I'm germophobic with certain things. Also no vanity but just a little mirror in the cabinet.

Over all I enjoyed my stay and made the best of everything. The staff was top-notch. Texting was great and they responded in a timely manner and brought things to the cabin I might have forgotten like a wine opener. Celebrating my 44th bday was memorable and relaxing.
