We have been trying to get to this resort for some time but finally booked this past week for a night. We were scouting out the resort to see if it is actually dog friendly ( which it is) and would be good for a larger family trip. The weather was icy, rainy and freezing and yet we managed to have the most amazing time. The Wannabee was so well designed, impecably clean and my kids loved the loft area. Linens/ bedding were great quailty, beautiful and warm. Eveything is done so well, the layout of the resort, activites, branding for each tiny home. My kids absolutely loved the goat/ sheep walk and the snack shack which you can access 24/7. Everything is super well done and tech savvy as far as booking, adding extras, checking in and early or late. Next time we want to rent waterfront, and enjoy the heated pool in the warmer weather. Kids can’t wait to come back and visit their new animal friends. We have a ton of upstate family and we are hoping to do a family trip this summer. Thank you for a great experience.

They emphasize being a family run business but not in a cute, cozy way, but in a way to excuse their lack of hospitality. The biggest discomfort was not having an extra blanket for my brother who was sleeping on the futon. For being the middle of winter with bad heating in the tiny house, he had to sleep in layers, cold with no blanket at all. They also did not have hand soap in the bathroom, gave us only 1 toilet paper roll (for 3 ppl) and no kitchen amenities like oil or salt, which I feel is typically given when you go somewhere with a kitchen. It was not the comforting/relaxing stay as we expected. Also, we arrived the day after snowfall and the path to our house wasn’t shoveled, a lot of the amenities they rave about was covered in snow or not available. We paid the premium price to be able to do more activities, but they do not have an indoor lobby so before and after check in/out, in between activity times we were told to walk around for hours, when it was freezing cold and paths weren’t shoveled, so we ended up just leaving. Even during the activities, they were very stingy with the materials, we wanted to use 5 glass mosaic pieces instead of 4 and they asked us to untie one from our wind chime and give one piece back. The inside of the tiny house was clean and that’s the only positive thing about this place.

We just spent the most relaxing and amazing long weekend at the Hideout!
The house was very clean and comfortable, and even though it was chilly we were still able to enjoy the fire pit.
The grounds are gorgeous, and the art studio was really a highlight!
They offer a wide range of projects for different skill levels, so my 8 year old craft obsessed daughter was able to fully participate (and she loved every second of it!)
We can’t wait to return in the summer so we can participate in the water activities!

I reserved the Mocha for a 3 night stay for my wifes birthday and it was nothing short of amazing. We arrived a little early and was lucky enough to check in even though we new ahead of time that check in time was not until 3pm. Melissa(Daughter of the owner) at check in was so helpful in letting us know everything we need to know about our house and resort. When we got to our house, my wife absolutely loved our house. It was so cozy and inviting. It was a perfect size for us. They have so many activities that you can do from goat yoga, heated pool, kayaking, tubing, basketball court, pickle ball, movie night, music night and many more , but our favorite were the arts and crafts which we spent most of our time during our stay and Margie the owner who ran the studio was the best. She was a joy to be around. We cant wait to go back next year with our boys and dog to experience the resort during the warm weather.

We recently stayed at this tiny house resort and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. When my father-in-law parked in the wrong spot, instead of calmly explaining the mistake, staff members yelled at him from their golf cart. This set a very negative tone for our visit.
Check-in is at 3:00 pm, and we arrived around 2:30 pm. The staff was extremely strict and would not allow us on the property, not even in the playground, which made it difficult to pass the time while waiting. Some flexibility or a welcoming area for early arrivals would have gone a long way.
In addition, guests are asked to wash their own dishes, including coffee cups, before leaving. While this may seem practical, it raises concerns about cleanliness since you are relying on the previous guest to clean items properly. It would feel more reassuring if staff double-checked or sanitized these items between stays. During our stay, coffee mugs still have coffee stains.
Overall, the setting has potential, but the staff’s approach to customer service and policies around cleanliness and check-in left a lot to be desired. With more professionalism and guest-focused adjustments, this resort could provide a much better experience.
