Been going the last few years. IMO if you aren’t getting one of the newer cabins, reschedule. There are a few cabins that have been completely let go. Otherwise lots of dock space, great fish cleaning shack, easy in, easy out from the road. Owner is great!

We stayed in cabin 9 from 8/7/21-8/12/21. However, I wouldn’t consider it a cabin. More like a shack. The living room was an uninsulated converted porch. The air conditioner was to small for the size of the dwelling. Had to use 3 additional fans for air circulation and it was still miserable. The worst part of our vacation, for me, was accidentally leaving some personal possessions behind and the owner was rude and condoning when requested to mail said affects to me with the promise of being reimbursed for postage. I live over 4 hours away and HAD to drive back for my things and return home IN 1 DAY. So, be warned, you leave something behind, it WON’T be returned to you. We do not recommend his facility.

I'm given the place 2 stars because the owner is a very nice and hard working man but we had issues from the time we drove in from a 30 hour drive from Texas. The cabin we had rented was doubled booked and the cabin we were put in was a lot smaller and falling apart. The major issue was I one day that I could go fishing with my son who I have not seen in four years so I rented a boat he showed me the boat and where it would be for the next morning. We showed up and the dock and the bout was gone. He came down to get another boat for us but was unable to get it running, then brought one that was dry docked and while trying to start it ripped the steering off the console. He then put us in a little 9.8 hp boat that took us 1 hour to go to a spot that should take 15 minutes. He did offer us an additional day to fish but the hole thing was to fish with my son who was getting married that weekend.
He is a very nice man but the place needs more organization
and some updating

A nice place to stay.
While some of the cottages need renovation, they are still fine to stay in after a day of fishing.
I've been coming for the past few years with family and relatives.
Fishing went well this year.

Been going every June with a group of friends for about 6 years now, cottages are decent all have kitchens and bathrooms, great fire pit area, has docks for boats and fish cleaning station. Can't miss the big light up R at night, great to find your way back at night.
