Nickerson Beach Campground is praised for its dedicated park workers who consistently improve the facilities. However, there are concerns regarding strict policies on cooking and guest limitations, which some visitors find unwelcoming. Additionally, experiences with staff during safety issues have been less than satisfactory.

We had a 10 outside camper and they told us we couldn't have it they don't allow any cooking and facilities for the people that are there and they don't allow any other guests if you want to invite somebody with a 10 they're nasty people they're not helpful it's Nassau county what the hell did you expect it's all about making money that's not about letting people live in their RVs and enjoy life for a summer or a season they don't care about people

Campground itself was clean and quiet. The bathrooms were very clean, the staff was very helpful. Each site was large and we had plenty of room to spread out. I would give the fifth star if the campground had its own beach access, walking through the cabana area took a lot of extra time and was awkward. I also think use of the pool should be included in the site. My kids would have liked to swim in the pool and i thought paying an extra $50 a day on top of the price of the site was a little much. Other than that everything else was great and we are definitely planning on booking next summer.

NOT Worth it. $72 for a parking lot?! No direct beach access, no privacy, facilities are run down.
