What Guests Are Saying

Ausable Pines has received mixed reviews, with some guests appreciating the scenic views and peaceful atmosphere, particularly for seasonal campers who enjoyed extended stays. However, many found the grounds misrepresented, citing poor maintenance, lack of facilities like showers and bathrooms, and overall disrepair. While some appreciated the nearby friendly campers, others strongly advised potential visitors to consider alternate accommodations like Ausable Point Campgrounds for a more enjoyable experience.

Grounds are not as described on the website. The pictures are not accurate! No shower or bathroom available. Water pressure is nonexistent. Grounds look like to be an old trashed trailer park. Absolutely NOT worth $300 for 3 nights!
If you plan on staying in Ausable, do yourself a favor and drive 3 minutes further up the road and stay at the Ausable Point Campgrounds (state park) beautiful beach access, clean bathrooms and showers available!
Lucked out by having nice people close by that made the stay slightly less stressful.
If you’re traveling with small children like us, steer clear from this spot.

Well seeing the owner. Wants to post in my review that they're improving the campground . I am here to to tell you on a public review that's a bold face lie i been takeing a stroll up through your park alot lately gathering info and talking to a few seasonal campers that got robbed. By your lies and promises for a write up and found out you have doubled your price to people that camp their for seasonal and you have done nothing but lie to them . Face facts your park has nothing you are improving nothing it takes more then a few flags and a porch and coats of paint on a fence post to be called improvement . So if you gonna welcome me back to see your improvements how about I bring a few office buddies along with me and they can post their findings aswell . I ask question publicly what your plans to help people you do have their that has over paid and got nothing ? Do you plan on giving them money back because you lied about what they would have ? Answer no you won't but you will keep posting lies on a review for what ? Just to make yourselfs look good and keep takeing people's money while your company gives nothing . Be real I been doing my research on properties that you own and comes down to fact that you have another camp built from lies. Wouldn't that be a ausable river which is also your property? Instead fake Photoshop photos try actually doing improvements . Start with giving the people that paid what you have promised . Make things right with them instead of lies and posting false statements . I go all over the north country to campgrounds to stand up for the people and and uncover the truth and facts I have hundred's of photos when time comes to back what I say up which will all come in good time . So please let next thing you post to my public post be facts and answers to your wrongs I have asked . Have good day

Highly recommend for seasonal campers. The full-summer stay was perfect—kids loved it, and adults got to relax.

Absolutely loved the scenery! Woke up to the river views and spent afternoons exploring the trails. So peaceful and well-kept

Was checking out a new campground for us and we should have stopped and turned around at the rotted, falling down Ausable Pines sign at the entrance, but we stopped at the office and when we opened the door a wave of cigarette smoke hit us in the face. The office hasn't been cleaned in who knows for how long. The lady inside gave us a map and we drove through the park anyway and it is so run down it isn't even funny! Some campers are so dilapidated there was mildew covering the inside of the windows. Huge piles of pine needles all over. The Rec. Hall/Laundry building seemed abandoned and dilapidated. I refused to get out of our vehicle it was so bad. This Campground should be condemned.
