Nice quiet place to stay, restrooms were very clean! If you are looking to take a shower the water is cold. In off season wait to reserve your spot, its best to look at the dryness of the different sites then reserve the one suitable. Enjoyed the nearby beach! The Hatteras Light House flash can be quite bright at night depending on which site you choose. Don't forget your mosquito spray. Good experience!

We had a great time at the campground, it was clean and very well maintained. Being cold and rainy, it would have been more fun if the showers had hot water (instant on or even passive solar), but the cold water got me energized in the evening I guess, haha.

Early November (2023) the camp is close to deserted. Pick your spot.
Everywhere is somewhat wet.
The place is not a swamp, but when you leave the pavement, it's close.
We enjoyed the seclusion... and it's close to an iconic lighthouse!

We had a great night at this campground, especially for this price ! And in November we booked online when we arrived so it was easy to plan. It would have been nice to indicate that the showers are cold. It was not that nice in November :)

Lovely place - totally wide open with only a few RVers when we visited in early Nov.
Website should make it easier to change sites after arriving -we wanted maximum sun and on arriving noticed better open sites. And on last night, we had someone next to us-even though park was only 5% full.
