What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Point Campground is praised for its beautiful, spacious sites, friendly hosts, and clean facilities, making it a great choice for camping near Emerald Isle. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere, ample shade, and proximity to nature trails and recreational opportunities. While some facilities like the bathhouses need upgrades and there are occasional issues with water temperature and cleanliness, the overall positive experiences and caring staff leave a lasting impression on visitors.

Cedar Point is a well-designed campground, with plenty of space for privacy between most sites. Level pavement for the RV. We were on site 4, probably one of the more private sites. Bath house is clean and convenient. There are 2 campground hosts, who are friendly and helpful. Dump station and water easily accessible.
Don't be alarmed by frequent ordnance testing (explosions that sound like construction blasting) and fighter jet and helicopter flyovers from the nearby Marine Corps bases.
The adjacent natural area and trails are well worth a visit. Plenty to see, though very quiet in the late fall.

Beware cooler months in this campground.
The heat is not turned on in the bath house. You cannot adjust water temp in the showers, along with no heat.
Bring your blower. Your paved pad will be covered in leaves and pine straw.

My site was wonderfully level and very spacious. As I left I was able to empty my gray and black tanks and fill with water. The campground is easy to maneuver. I can’t wait to visit again! Don’t miss out on the nearby Cedar Point Tideland trail.

Great place! Close to the water and a great trail. It was within biking distance to a great brewery (Mythic) and a grocery store amongst other things. It was fairly clean. The water in the bathrooms and showers didn't drain one morning while there but they had it fixed pretty quickly.

The campground was very neat and clean, including the bathrooms and showers. The host was very visible but not in our faces the whole time, like we've experienced before. We have camped at Cedar Point for years and years and will gladly be back.
