⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We’ve had a great experience at Twin Lakes Campground, which is also part of the Thousand Trails system. We highly recommend it to anyone RVing through the area or looking for a longer-term stay.

The location is excellent and extremely convenient. In one direction, you’re just minutes from Chocowinity—about a five-minute drive—with easy access to local services and essentials. In the other direction, you’re headed toward Washington, which is only about seven minutes away and offers everything you could need: grocery stores (including Walmart), restaurants, medical facilities, shopping, and more. No matter which way you go, services are quick and easy to reach.

They offer a wide range of stay options including overnight sites, monthly stays, seasonal and permanent sites for RVs and park models, as well as small housekeeping cabins with heat and A/C—great for both RVers and non-RV travelers.

The campground truly feels like a one-stop shop. There’s a well-stocked camp store with just about anything you might need, plus an ice cream counter inside the store. Bathrooms and combination shower houses are clean, and having laundry facilities on site is a big plus for longer stays.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Security is excellent—you’re buzzed in at the gate and use a swipe card, which adds peace of mind. They also offer trash disposal, propane fills, and RV pump-out services. If you just need a pump-out, you can call ahead, pull in, take care of it, and be on your way—at the time of this review, it was only $10.

Whether you’re stopping overnight or settling in for a longer stay, Twin Lakes Campground makes RV life easy and comfortable. We’ve been very happy here and highly recommend it.

Great campground. Love the nearby town of Washington. Level sites are a plus. Great staff (Thank you, Michelle!) and we were able to refill our onboard propane tank. That's an added bonus

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff including but not limited to, Michelle and Jasmine, were kind and helpful. The residents were friendly. The amenities such as the laundry room, ice cream shop, and cabins were well maintained. My husband enjoyed catching blue gill with crickets. Great stay!

A great family campground with tons to explore! Water is everywhere and the amenities are clean and well maintained. 2 pools, one on each side of the park so the pool is never packed. The laundry rooms are spotless.

The staff is amazing!!

Disrespectful, reckless, and completely unprofessional.

Visited over 4th of July weekend to see friends who live at the campground. We stopped by the game room, which had the lights on and an OPEN sign up and paid to play pool. Mid-game, some guy named Mike (manager or staff) barges in, turns the lights off on us while we’re still playing, and just keeps saying “Game room’s closed” over and over. No explanation. No warning. Refused to refund us even after we said we had just paid.

To make it worse, we saw him earlier FLYING through the campground while on the phone, with kids around. Completely reckless and unprofessional. If this is how guests and residents are treated, I wouldn’t trust this place with my family or a weekend stay. Avoid.
