Yates RV Resort

I usually only need 3 things when staying for the night. A clean place, a quiet place and kind staff or owners and Yates knocked all 3 out of the park. Their dog park is larger than most RV parks we've stayed in. If you're not a dog park person there are acres of field and a walking trail behind the property to wander.
We stayed in their Boondock site which was fine for our 2 night stay. I would have had no problem extending more nights if we needed to. They provide water and electric, up to 50a, and the site was level and hard packed.
The owners were great and we enjoyed talking about past places we have traveled to out west.
If we're back in the area we would definitely stay here again.

Where do I begin? You know when you were younger and you’d go to your friend’s house for dinner and every time you walked in the door you’d get this wholesome feeling of “home”? Well that’s what it’s like staying with the Yates. From every edge of the beautifully mowed mix of grass and strategically laid turf for your convenience, to every light that gives you privacy, yet your own sense of comfort and security, Yates Resort is a 10/10 for me. That’s just the grounds too! The owners are even better.

Hookups are easily accessible and well maintained in every season, giving you ample electric and strong water pressure. The lots are spaced out enough to where you’re not able to touch your neighbors rig when you walk outside and each site has very leveled small rock gravel. They even have a built in concrete slab with a nice picnic table and fireplace set up too! With the owners permission, you can walk the well marked trail behind their house, just watch out for the alligator and tortoise in the creek. They’re there all year long ;-). Overall, it’s a beautiful and thoughtfully planned out space. Oh! And the dog park is awesome too!

Now the owners? They’re the best part. When possible, either one or both will always greet you upon arrival with a welcome packet and information about what’s around and answer any questions you may have. Michael knows just about everything and if he doesn’t know, he’ll ask his wife, Kim! They’re humble and kind and are the type of people this world needs more of these days. We stayed at Yates for 8 months and we can hands down say that they are now a core memory and people we hope to have in our lives forever!

We can’t wait to go back and visit!

Do yourself favor and stay at Yates Resort Campground next time you’re passing through or need a place to relax at for a while. No matter the reason or the season, Yates is the place to be.

My Husband and I, along with our dog Kobe recently visited YATES RV park in Forest City North Carolina. The owners Mike and Kim did an amazing job in welcoming us. The property was full of interesting decor and was great for pictures for long lasting memories. There was also a walking trail and a dog park that Kobe enjoyed. The RV park was perfectly maintained and groomed with a lot of extras that you do not see at most RV parks. I honestly did not want to leave. I highly recommend YATES RV Park. And we will definitely be back.

DONT THINK RESERVE AND BOOK IT IMMEDIATELY!!!!!! there is to many good thing to say about this place me and my husband travel for a work pretty much full time we been to many many place I can not exaggerate enough this place we'll forever hold a lifetime of memories and forever be favorite place that I've stayed this place is so wholesome and peaceful very friendly down to earth family like neighbor the good kind too😉 this place is so well maintained clean and SAFE ,one of the best dog park ever ever seen!!!! The owner are exceptionally amazing people and know how properly run a campground well forever be life time friends

Found this wonderful spot on RV Life, what a treasure. My husband and I both ride motorcycles and our hosts were the best. Resort is very motorcycle friendly with easy access to mountain riding. Can not say enough good things about this resort. We will definitely be back!
