The camp hosts went above and beyond to be helpful in many ways. And very friendly too! Beautiful campground, beautiful lake! Bathrooms and showers were clean.

The location is beautiful however if you are camped near the lake there is pretty constant noise of boaters and blaring music until late in the evening. The bathrooms are also a bit rough. It seems like this area gets a lot of thru traffic.

Site was on the side of the road, on a curve across the street from a car park for a group camped down the hill.
Campground was mostly empty but according to Recreation.Gov the campground was booked up. Site was adequate but not really good.
The campground host could not change our spot so we were stuck.

We love this campground! Second year in a row and we will make it an annual destination. The camp sites are perfect— we’ve gotten a spot on the lake both years. The facilities are well kept and there is good access to water spigots. Having the lake recreation area is a game-changer! We enjoy short drives to NC hikes as well as swimming/paddle boarding in the lake.

Beautiful location and enjoyable family camping. Clean facilities. Next time I would zoom into photos to view steps from parking pad to picnic/tent pad. Some sites were a bit tricky depending on your mobility (including kids).

Please update the picture you have on the website to now show all the overgrowth from the campsite to the lake. We were so disappointed to see that there was hardly a view of the lake or a path to it. The site itself was “ok” but the reason we chose it was for the lake views. So much overgrowth…. We won’t be back.
