I do not recommend this place. I will not go into details because I would be typing a novel. Save your money and go somewhere else, these people don't deserve it. I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect. Office manager has a very inflated sense of self, never saw the owner once during my 8 months. I was so excited to move here and it was just a huge disappointment and waste of $5.5k! I hope they find Jesus and do better by hard working people!

Would not recommend.
I owned a place here for over a year and a half, and I finally sold it because we hardly used it anymore—and the reasons are listed below.
Management and ownership were quick to enforce the rules in the lease, which I fully support. The problem was that they also liked to make up random rules that were nowhere in the lease at all.
On top of that, we constantly had issues with neighbors parking multiple cars in our private driveway, even though they had their own. Every single time we arrived, one or two of their cars would be sitting in our spot. Management would reach out to them when I asked, but by the time the message got to the owners, our trip was usually over and we were heading back home. Bottom line: it never should’ve been an issue to begin with. Management should have told them immediately that it was not allowed and was a violation of the rules.
If I parked in their driveway, I promise they wouldn’t be happy about it either. Would you? Would you want to pay an annual lease and not even have full access to the lot you're paying for?
I would not recommend this place, especially if you’re planning to buy a permanent camper on-site. This is actually the first negative Google review I’ve ever written, but I felt it was deserved.
Ironically, if you read some of the negative reviews the resort has responded to, they claim that they “have to apply the rules fairly and uniformly to all applicants and guests.” I guess we were the exception to that.
For comparison, we were blessed to have a place for nearly two years at Lake James Landing—never had a single complaint or issue. Very well managed and well run!!

I appreciated their timely responses when I reached out via email to ask some questions about potentially staying at this campground later this year. However, we were extremely disappointed to be denied the opportunity to book a site here solely based on the breed of our dog. In our opinion, that is an incredibly rude and unfair policy.

I am a year round resident of Barefoot Landing. My son and I adore our community. The office staff are amazing, the maintenance staff are always quick to respond. Management does a great job at preserving and maintaining the natural elements.
Short and long-term guests are carefully vetted to be sure our community stays safe.
Our stay from our cabin, the playgrounds, pool, pavilion & lake access all are top tier.
Highly recommended!
