Camp sites were too close together, beach access was not navigable. Mosquitoes were awful and we’re from MN where mosquitoes are “man eaters “. Would not return.

Love the staff there but the mosquitos!!!!!! They are so so bad that even bug spray doesn’t help and they literally surround the tent you’re in. Always take a flashlight at night bc we walked directly into a coyote.

The campground at Oregon Inlet is always clean, bathrooms and showers are clean. The beach is beautiful and the campground is very easy to navigate and sites are decent size and there is good room between each site.

Normally a great campground. Recent rains flooded out large parts. Even after three days, the rain water had not receded. Some grading may be needed throughout the campground.

Other than the heat dome over the southeast and lack of good cell service (Verizon through straight talk), the stay was great. Close to shopping

Policies & Rules

General

  • All campsites are exposed and subject to weather extremes. There are no shaded sites in the campground.
  • Camping is limited to a total of 14 days of camping between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Making reservations under another name or account to circumvent the 14 day restriction is prohibited.
  • Generators must be turned off during quiet hours.
  • Wood fires are not permitted in the campground. Only charcoal cooking fires are permitted in a grill, stove, or other self-contained unit.
  • A fire may be ignited and maintained only by using fuel sources designed and commonly used for warmth or the preparation of food, such as charcoal briquettes or natural firewood. Lighting or maintaining a fire with other materials including, but not limited to, flammable liquids, garbage, fireworks, plastics, aerosol canisters, batteries, or other manufactured or synthetic materials, is prohibited.
  • All equipment must fit on the site pad; large RVs over 25 feet may have to park second vehicles in auxiliary parking away from the campground, or purchase an additional campsite. Vehicles cannot park on the grass.
  • Biting insects are prevalent in the summer months, therefore netting and repellent are recommended.
  • There is a limit of 6 persons per site, a maximum of 2 cars, or 1 car and 1 trailer, and a maximum of two tents.
  • The Access Pass and both the Senior Annual and Senior Lifetime Pass are the only passes that provide a discount on the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass owner, not to any additional campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass owner's party. The discount does not apply to utility hookups. The pass discount must be applied at the time of the reservation; it cannot be applied retroactively.   • Must be 18 yrs of age to reserve a campsite.
