Many reviews highlight the campground's cleanliness, helpful staff, and the peaceful atmosphere, ideal for relaxation and stargazing. Beautiful clean campground right on the beach. I also enjoyed the hammock nature trail and paved sidewalk to town. I wish the cancellation policy would change as people often drop their reservations and then that site goes empty. It is often difficult to make reservations at reservations.com.

A wonderful, peaceful, quiet campground. Right behind the dunes of the beach. Site A7 was great, between the path to the beach and flanked by shrubs for privacy- morning sun and afternoon shade. Cool breezes all day long. Loved our 3 days here. Ocracoke village is charming and friendly, only a 20 minute bike ride away.

Had a good night there, met some nice people from out west there. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful with me making reservations for the ferry. The campground and lighthouse was worth the visit.

The grounds were much improved over years this year. Bathrooms were much cleaner than the last several years. Enjoyed the 200 years celebration of the lighthouse.
