Beautiful campground right on the beach. I loved the privacy. Bathrooms were clean and convenient. A hot shower would have been nice!

We like this campground very much. This was our 4th spring visit. We were in B6, very convenient to the beach and the bathroom. We met plenty of friendly people and enjoyed the quiet at the designated times. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We will definitely return.

This is just a great campground. Nice amount of space between spots, right over the dunes to the beach, and clean facilities.

One of our favorite getaway spots! Campground is spacious and sites are not crowded. Pristine beach right over the dunes. Bathrooms are clean. We didn’t use the showers, but they are nice and from the screams, obviously cold, which could be refreshing on a hot day.

The campground is beautifully maintainted and was the highlight of accomodations for our Outer Banks trip. Mosquitos and other biting insects were minimal during our stay the first week in May. It's just a short hike to the beautiful beach, but it does require some exertion through deep soft sand and climbing the trail over the dunes. The dunes do provide a break from much of the onshore wind - but this is a windy place, so be prepared. Ocracoke Village has everyting you need. We had good meals at Howard's Pub and at SmacNally's. A nicely maintained 3 mile bike trail takes you safely along the highway into town. Picknic tables at the boat ramp make for a nice sunset meal with pizza picked up from Sorella's. We are ready to go back!
