Overall, my experience was great. I had a bit of a bathroom emergency and that was how I realized half the bathrooms were closed. That part was NOT cool. I asked a park ranger which was open and was told but I took my bike to alllll the bathrooms afterwards and the only ones I could find open were there D loop ones. When I was told B loop was too. Idk with thst many people why bathrooms would be closed, but I get it. Otherwise, I had a great time and already booked a return trip!

Nice and quiet on D loop without any generator noise. Brought a propane fire pit as wood fires not allowed. Bought 4WD permit to go on beach at ramp 72 to surf fish. Awesome experience. Not many resturants open in early March. Campground host Keith is a retired Marine and nice guy to talk with. Can't believe they work for nothing but a site to stay in. No law enforcement Rangers in the campground when we were there, but they did patrol the beach. Campground reasonably quiet that time of year. Nice!

This is a great camp ground. I felt totally safe and supported. The grounds, cites, and facilities were all pristine. The hosts are wonderful and a great source of information. I am already making plans to return!

The most amazing campground I have ever stayed at. The sites were incredible, a short walk away from the beach, the facilities were clean and well stocked, and the camp host was kind and a treat to talk with! Will be back, highly recommend

The camp is wonderful. The noseeums ate us alive and flew through the camper screens. The camper also didn’t have good airflow and it was very hot, the sea breeze couldn’t blow through. We left after one night, next time we’ll bring bug nets for inside the camper

Very nice campground - good access to the beach and a beautiful bike path into town. No hookups but I enjoyed that in that there were no big vehicles, mostly self-sufficient vans or tents. thank you for providing heated bathrooms in the dead of winter.

Clean facilities and well-maintained campground. Our site D17 was surrounded by trees so was well protected from the wind. Look forward to returning!

General
- Ocracoke is accessible only by ferry or aircraft. Ferry reservations may be required during peak season.
- Camping is limited to a total of 14 days of camping between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Making reservations under another name or account to circumvent the 14 day restriction is prohibited.
- Generators are allowed throughout the campground and must be turned off during quiet hours.
- Wood fires are not permitted in the campground. Only charcoal cooking fires are permitted in a grill, stove, or other self-contained unit.
- A fire may be ignited and maintained only by using fuel sources designed and commonly used for warmth or the preparation of food, such as charcoal briquettes or natural firewood. Lighting or maintaining a fire with other materials including, but not limited to, flammable liquids, garbage, fireworks, plastics, aerosol canisters, batteries, or other manufactured or synthetic materials, is prohibited.
- All equipment must fit on the site pad. If you have a large RV over 25 feet, you may have to park your second vehicle in the auxiliary parking area just outside the campground or purchase an additional campsite. Vehicles may not be parked on grass.
- At each campsite, there is a limit of six people, two cars (or one car and one trailer), and two tents.
- After heavy rain there may be areas of standing water due to the low terrain.
- Biting insects are prevalent in summer months. Netting and repellent are recommended.
- Campsites are exposed and subject to weather extremes. There are no shaded sites.
- Must be 18 yrs of age to reserve a site.
