Being new to the camping scene it was a weekend of firsts for me but it was all positive. Clean and quiet. Coming back in July.

Great location! If you don't use a generator, pick the D loop; I didn't think the sound would bother me, but it was competing with the sound of the ocean.

Beautiful campground and the beaches are stunning. The only negative was although we had a campsite that backed to the dunes and had a trail directly to it the trail could not be used due to lack of maintenance and control of poison ivy which was growing everywhere.

Great place to unwind. Showers are great in summer, but consider a solar bag shower to use in shower buildings in other months due to no hot water. Be aware of the weather, because you could have problems getting on or off the island due to ferry delays. So be flex able in your plans and schedules.

We had a wonderful time! The ferry was so easy and the campsite was perfect. It did rain a lot overnight and many of the sites got flooded. Be sure to get the sites that have the dunes to the back of you to stay the driest. There were a lot of mosquitos so make sure you close your cubby doors to your trailer while you are setting up. We also saw Portuguese-man-of- war jellyfish washed up on the beach after the storm. Yikes! Be careful. We loved Eduardo's Taco truck and also enjoyed 1718 Brewery. The half marathon was going on the weekend we were there and the runners make a loop through the campground. We want to run next year and camp again.
