Ocracoke Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained setting with easy access to a stunning beach, making it a favorite among campers. Many reviews highlight the campground's cleanliness, helpful staff, and the peaceful atmosphere, ideal for relaxation and stargazing. However, some campers noted issues with mosquitoes, generator noise in the D Loop, and occasional maintenance concerns, but overall, the positive experiences outweigh the negatives, with many expressing a desire to return.

Still one of my favorite campgrounds in the US. Hop over the dunes for the ocean and a short walk to the sound. Always a great stay. Wish they had hot water for showers, but the restrooms are always clean.

Generator Rules were not enforced. The first night I could lay in bed and hear the waves. And the rest of the time all I heard was neighbors generator 24/7. Nice location. Fun adventure taking the ferry.

1 night oceanfront. ferry fm cedar island. high winds at night in tent. couldn't find a water spigot to fill water for site and dish washing. had water bottle filler.. shower cold wide spray not solar like Everglades. low key. people cut through site to beach, but no other way.. beach at night great. dark sky. wind keeps bugs down. quick bike ride to town for breakfast... checkout and ferry close timed to each other .

Trouble free campground and easy in easy out parking are just two parts of why we keep coming back. The breezes and very few mosquitoes this year was really nice.

We were there for 2 weeks and we had a a lot of different weather. Just part of the experience in May.But I have to say it. It’s such a beautiful serene campground. We’ll go back again next year. It’s just such a way to get away from everything. The showers are cold, but you get used to them. The water in the ocean is cold, but you get used to it. We love Ocracoke.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ocracoke Campground! The campground was clean and well-maintained, and the restrooms were always spotless during our visit. The beach is beautiful and just a short walk away. There’s also a grocery store, restaurants, and an ABC store only a few minutes away by car. Great location and a relaxing place to camp—we would definitely stay here again!

Incredible place. Dunes are 20' high. The beach is as good as it gets. Its like traveling back in time. Bring a pop-up screen tent for camp and pack the bug spray!

Campground host in little evidence. Only one host present and only available during round. Restroom facilities were very
well maintained.
