Many reviews highlight the campground's cleanliness, helpful staff, and the peaceful atmosphere, ideal for relaxation and stargazing. I have been enjoying the NPS campground in Ocracoke off and on for many many years. Retirement time is going to be frequent flier time on the OBX.

Great place to camp near the Ocean! Stayed in mid April and it was mostly retired folks, very quiet. Mosquitoes come out after dark but otherwise no bugs during the day. Clean well kept campground. Would love to come back!

We loved our time there. The camp hosts were super friendly and helpful. Just a short walk through the dunes to the beach, which was amazing. Almost no one else on the beach. Bathroom was clean. Definitely bring bug spray. The mosquitoes are bothersome early in the morning and later at night when the wind is less.

Awesome location, staff was very friendly. Only hiccup was that the dumping station was not open due to being full. But that didn't dampen the great time we had. Will visit again!
