This group site is ideal for so many activities: hiking, rock climbing, rock sliding/swimming, biking… all with a big open space for field games, camping, and great recreation with friends. Privacy for singing loudly around the campfire and amazing nearby access to so much fun. We weren’t clear whether the water was potable or not (a sign would be nice) and the pit toilets were not too bad. Another terrific birthday weekend for our youngest and her many friends’ ’families. The best!!

This is an ideal group site. Mini sliding rock, swimming hole, rock wall for climbing, access to trails, waterfall hike, field for games and camping, good spots for hammocks, community meals, and serenity!! What a magical place to be with friends outside. Total dream!! The lower site has easy access now with the culvert over the old ford site. All the thumbs up!!

This is an ideal group site. Such an amazing spot, great little kids rockclimbing face, water slide in the creek, and blue ghost fireflies.

From the Asheville airport, take Highway 280 west to the U.S. Highway 64/280/276 intersection at Pisgah National Forest. Turn north onto U.S. Highway 276. Go 4.5 miles to Forest Road 475A and turn left. Travel on 475A for 3 miles to the campground on the right.
