St Clair Landing is a great campground if you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere. It was so relaxed that even our dogs didn’t bark much. The sites are understandably narrow given the location. But the site layout made it reasonable to back our camper into. The other campers were friendly. The bathrooms are clean. We didn’t use it, but the laundry room looks clean and nice. The staff were really nice on the phone and in person. It doesn’t have the pool and other amenities of the resort places, but the cost is significantly lower and that’s not what we were looking for.

Small quiet campground with friendly staff. Clean well kept bathrooms and sites. Doesn't have a lot of extras but if you want beautiful sunsets, access to the sound for water sports, access to the beach and quiet its perfect. Nice sound beach just down the road in Salvo.

We tried our very best to stay here with our pop up camper. The days we booked were not great weather. We tried to put up the camper and the winds just were not safe enough. We emailed the staff that we were unable to stay. After a few days went by they did in fact refund our stay. That was very professional of them and truly a good faith act. If you love great water access and fishing this is the place. Probably not a good place for a tent or pop up as the winds to get high due to openness of the grounds. We recommend them otherwise.

Love this place!!! This family campground is no frills and tons of fun! It's super laid back, well maintained, and extraordinarily friendly. The campground owner hosted a fish fry for the 4th, and everyone brought side dishes and lots of fun and laughter! Beautiful sunsets almost every day and love watching the kiteboarders out on the sound. Patty is so sweet and very helpful. This is THE BEST place to stay in the OBX!!!

A small privately owned campground near Rodanthe, NC on Hatteras Island. If you're looking for an big resort type campground, this probably isn't for you. It's nothing fancy, but it's nice and quiet and the people (staff and campers) are very friendly. Loved the outdoor showers at the bathhouse when we returned from the beach. No worries about golf carts riding around at all hours kicking up dust and making noise. Pam answered any questions we had and was very helpful. This is truly a hidden gem among the big resort campgrounds across the street. Beautiful sunset views on the sound. A short distance from restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back.
