Lots to do at this park, and all the activities are reasonably priced for a family fun day. We were there for hours and didn't even make it to the lake for paddle boats.

Playgrounds are great , I think the petting zoo and animal exhibit could be updated a bit. The large bear sanctuary- where there are no longer bears but signs that tells us about the family of bears passing. Kids kind of thrown off a bit by that. Nice lake to walk around , very clean and the kids loved the gem mined. Took my stepdaughter here about 5 years ago she loved it and recently went on a field trip with my son’s school.

Beautiful park with picnic, camping and fishing. Well maintained and easily accessible. Large playgrounds and volleyball courts.

Been a few years since we visited this beautiful park. Park needs a lot of maintenance and is becoming unsafe in areas! Concession stand and restrooms are a great addition, but no running water in sinks. Restrooms by wildlife under construction, no visible animals in several exhibits (currently no bear), bridge decking needs repair, walkway at back of pond leading to campground sways when walking on it. Rowan County, please restore this park!

This place is a find. Really nice to walk/hike around. Plenty of people fishing and some things for the kiddos to do. Great parking too!
