What Guests Are Saying
Bandits Roost campground offers beautiful lake views, clean and well-maintained facilities, and spacious sites, making it a popular choice for campers. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. However, some areas, including the bathhouses and fire pits, require updates and maintenance, and there are occasional issues with the entrance gate and site cleanliness between campers. Overall, it remains a beloved destination for many.

We've been camping here for 30 years and still love bandits roost. However, not as secure as in past. Gate broke and left open all night. Grounds not as well kept as in past. Camphost were very friendly and over worked.

Tent site A68 was great. Conveniently located to the reservoir as well as the bath house and waste disposal area. We had nice rangers and a very nice lady host.

Traveled from Florida for North Wilkesboro NASCAR All Star race and last minute needed a place to stay in RV … Reservation Staff was able to get us slots in Bandits Roost … have never stayed in a National Park … it is a beautiful park … looking forward to staying there again next year … I’m booking now. Thank you
