We really enjoyed our stay at Buffalo Gap Campground! It was so peaceful and quiet which made it such a relaxing place to camp. Even though there were other campers nearby, it still felt calm and tucked away from everything. One of our favorite parts was nighttime the sky was incredibly dark, and we could see so many stars. It was beautiful and honestly one of the highlights of our stay. If you’re looking for a quiet campground near Medora where you can relax and enjoy some amazing night skies, this is a great spot!🌌

Nice quiet place to stay close to Medora. No hookups but there is a dump and the price is right!

We had a site reserved but it was taken when we arrived, and no one on site to make it right.

This is our second visit to Buffalo Gap Campground. Nice big and spaced out campsites. Good facilities including the shower house. There is a little road noise from the interstate but barely noticeable. Stayed here for Maah Daah Hey 100 and it is very convenient to Medora.

The picnic tables are unable to be moved so the 90+ degree day meant sitting in more sun or sitting behind the tent on the grass. The bathrooms were fine we did not use the showers. More shade would be great.

Really nice paved sites. Some had more slope front to back than ideal. Quieter than expected for being close to Interstate. Showers and flush toilets were a nice surprise. Nice scenery. Only knock was all the noxious weeds: Hounds tongue, Canada Thistle and some Leafy Spurge that infested the woody draw running thru the campground. Had to pick burrs out of the dogs tails.
