The wash house facilities are in poor shape. I believe they are about as clean as they can be made but the condition is poor. In need of maintenance and major improvements. The showers are in dire need of improvements.

Very nice campground - grass kept cut short which was nice. Comfort Station (women's) could have been cleaner. Lots of crickets and other bugs hanging from webs, lots of bugs in the sinks, etc. making it icky to shower! I know, it's the great outdoors, but still.....

The water is being released so the big monies down stream can have all their barges floating while we are losing our boat ramps due to low water!! This is terrible! This water is just as much ours as it is for those downstream. If the COE can not regulate the dams any better, let someone else such as the States themselves.
Also, we bought a new camper with all the high tech gadgets only to find out that we have NO PHONE SERVICE AND NO TELEVISION at Beaver Bay! This can be easily remedied by installing WiFi in the park. I know that other COE parks have WiFi, Why can't Beaver Bay Recreation Area? Is it because of the big monies again? WiFi could be a life saver should something happen where we would require emergency help. Again, another problem is the park has only 30 amp service, which is very much outdated. Most campers recently run on more amps because of the residential refrigeration that is now being installed in them. The park has such potential, but is held back by officials who do not care.
