This is a beautiful campground and it was nice to stay right in the park. A bison greeted us as we drove into the campground, it was amazing. The sites were nice and fairly spread out. It was a bit of a hike to the restroom, so people with mobility issues should be careful which site they choose and plan accordingly. The only real down side to our experience were the ticks that we picked up during our hike, they were really terrible. There was no mention of ticks on the hiking trails, but if you had a dog it would be covered with them for sure. Otherwise, we had a great experience and really enjoyed our visit!

The campground host was extremely friendly and helpful. Restrooms were well maintained, but two of them were unavailable during our stay, appearing to be being rebuilt. No dishwashing - maybe would be part of the rebuilt restrooms?
We saw wild horses and bison across the river from our campsite, and a baby owl near the entrance. The scenic drive is amazing.
No firewood on site, so pick some up on the way in no later than Medora.
