Great little campground right in the middle of bison grazing territory. :) Nice sites, water filling stations, clean flush toilets. All you need is here. Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful location with lovely views of the badlands on both sides. Site 62 is on the edge of the campground surrounded by prairie. Very open site, with just a couple trees on one edge. Convenient location for exploring the south unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. There were bison tracks through the campsite both days I was camped there, but it didn't bother my tent.

Great campground next to the river. After arriving, we immediately saw a bison and three wild horses on the other side of the river. Another bison was just hanging around the campground entrance the next morning. Great opportunity to stay in the park and discover this beautiful piece of earth.

Cottonwood is a wonderful place to camp. Easy to get to yet very quiet and secluded. Amazing views and up close encounters with bison (be careful with your spacing and give them room). Absolutely beautiful badlands experience!
