The campground is beautiful. The river and lake are amazing. The cost is fair and comparable to similar places. The elder gent with a mustache was kind to us, friendly, and very knowledgeable.
On the downside, i wish the bathrooms were cleaned daily and then the garbage dumsters were stinky full for most of our stay.
Also the younger gent, i think the host with a little white dog, was quite rude - just saying good morning or hello back to me must have been so difficult for him - because it took everything he had to do it through his nasty crabby face.
All that aside, this was one of my favorite places this year.

Very nice, quiet campground. Spaces are wide and long. We have stayed here before and will definitely stop again.

Excellent campground! We will stay here again. The sites are large and nicely situation (for the most part - some are less than ideal). It is very quiet and the people - fellow campers and staff alike - are wonderful. The part is well maintained, the bathrooms are very nice and the natural amenities are fantastic! Unfortunately, the Garrison Dam tour was closed during this visit - but we will try again! I highly recommend this campground.

We stayed in the southern loop. The spaces are spread apart, but there wasn't much in the way of privacy foliage between campsites. There are lots of mature trees providing shade for some spots, but others are exposed. Our power hookups worked as they should, but note that there is no water hookups. There is fresh water at the dump station to fill tanks and hydrants dispersed throughout the loops. With the weather as hot as it was, we spent a fair amount of time on the river playing in the sand and cold water. Fires weren't allowed due to drought conditions. But we managed some pretty good bike rides to include a fairly long loop thru the wildlife preserve further to the south and some of the trails between the campground and the hatchery. The shower house worked well, but beginning to show it's age. There was only one shower for men in our loop. I assume the same for the ladies.
