The bathrooms were very dirty. Major cleaning and maintenance is needed badly.

Normally this campground rates five stars from us. We have stayed there before. But this time the cleanliness of the bathrooms were well below what I would expect from an Army Corp campground. The floors were dirty in one, wet in the other. One looked like feces on the floor and bird poop at the entry door. They looked like they had not been cleaned in a while. Neither had the usual check list as to when it was last cleaned in them. The rest of the campground is five stars - but on this particular trip - the bathrooms dropped it to three.

We had site 30, It was an excellent site, right along the water, The site was easy to back into, very spacious. The only downside was there was no hose attached to the water hydrant to fill our freshwater tank this year. there has been in past years.
I will book another stay again this year.

We enjoyed this campground. We would like to see sewer hook-ups as well. This would make it so much more convenient.

More trees planted would also help shade in the heat of the summer.

Toilets on both ends of the campground would also be great.

The campground overall was ok. The spaces were large enough, the grass in the sites was cut, and the water was VERY cold and refreshing out of the spickets. If you are looking to come fish or take your boat out on the lake, this place is awesome!
Unfortunately, the grass on the outskirts of the camping area was left to grow, which caused a plethora of insects. There were tons of ticks as well, so you are pulling ticks off throughout the day. We understand that we were in nature, so we have no problem accepting the insects. Just wanted others to know as well.
Finally, the toilet...we realize that most at the site we stayed at had their rv's, and as such their own toilets. We on the other hand did not, so we needed to use the pit toilet. Without exaggeration, we have used old outhouses and bathrooms in third world countries which were cleaner. The floor was nasty, there appeared to be feces smeared on one of the walls, the hand sanitizer station was empty AND broken, and for the week we were there, it wasn't cleaned once. Again, we understand that we are camping, but an entire week without cleaning? That is just unacceptable.

Fire ring was dirty with cigarette butts and general trash; site was unlevel and lots of thistle weeds to prick you or your pet’s feet but the view was beautiful and a general peaceful park.

Our site was nice & open. Most of the sites are completely closed in with brush & are very buggy! What is the criteria for the handicap sites? I could use one & most of the time they are not available even though there are open sites. The handicap sites should be the very last ones rented oin case someone actually needs one!
