What Guests Are Saying
Wolf Creek Campground offers great rates and a pleasant atmosphere. However, there are concerns about cleanliness, specifically regarding fire pits and garbage pickup, as well as the need for additional amenities like electric sites and dump stations. Some campers noted issues with generator use after hours, but overall, the campground has a nice environment.

We love wolf creek and the fun and views are incredible! We stayed wednesday - Sunday. Wednesday and Thursday’s night were wonderful, but when the weekend came around the campground became a large gathering for local party both Friday and Saturday night. There were two sites next to each other that people were camping at and the amount of wood brought in was much larger then for a simple campfire... we thought maybe they were just going to be camping for an extended amount of time, but then, about 10 pm so many cars with extra people came parking wherever they could find room. All Going to those two sites With the massive amounts of firewood to have a good time. We aren’t against gathering of people, but this was kegs, loud music, yelling... until about 3 am. Our site had a little path down to a beach area and people who came for the party kept going through our campsite to get to get to that beach area (with no regard for being quiet while trodding through our site either). There where a few dogs that were brought along too that pooped in our campsite while we were sleeping that was just left for us to find in the morning (along with all the beer bottles, cans and cups). We thought after the Friday night party we would have a quieter Saturday night, but no. The delivery of the kegs for Saturday night party came that afternoon. And once 10 pm hit there again was so many people just having a beg old kegger. Not exactly the camping experience we had in mind for our family including a 3 and 5 year old.

Would not recommend. The sites were not well thought out and so the campfire rings were basically next to the neighboring site, so we couldn’t enjoy a private campfire. Also the sites aren’t well defined, and so everyone is left guessing where they need to be. So we ended up with a tent right outside our motor home’s windows. Definitely not coming back.

We have camped here for many years and we love it every time we stay. The scenery is incredible, fishing is amazing at lake Sakakawea and there is a playground for the little to play on.
