Wolf Creek Campground offers a peaceful retreat with great views and clean, mowed sites. While lake access is limited due to low water levels, there are still enjoyable swimming spots and sandy beaches for boaters. However, the campground lacks some amenities and support, such as electric hookups and regular maintenance of fire pits and garbage disposal.

No one checks on the camp site. Generator running through the night. People and kids screaming late in the night. No one to complain to. Very unhappy won’t go there again.

This campground was a surprise because I expected it to be more primitive than it was. The campsites were large and private and my site was close to a playground, water and bathrooms as well as a trash bin. I didn't use those amenities because I was prepared for a more primitive site. The site and the entire campground was beautiful and clean. Definitely one of the best campgrounds I've stayed at in a long time.

It was a beautiful campsite! Absolutely love that spot.
However, - the downside is that there was no camp host present for the weekend and so no toilet paper in the vault toilet on the end of the campground.
Additionally, sadly, a camper chose to blast loud dance music until 3:30am - and since we were tent camping with a baby and little kids, it was not optimal.
It is too bad that people take advantage of opportunity to not follow quiet hours.

Start penalizing no show. If they don't show without cancellation block them for 30 days. Right not why bother its only a $4-10 refund

Nice stop along the way in our journeys. We hoped for better lake access, but the lake is so low that we could only get to it by a trail heading down the bank. We were spoiled by Cass Lake in Minnesota which is clear and sandy, where this lake is muddy and rocky. Still it was good to cool off.
The site was fine and the views are great. We arrived on a Sunday and the place was packed. But Monday we had the place to ourselves. We took advantage off the trash and dump and fill. Lack of electric was no issue as we are solar powered.
Also, the road in was very washboardy, but they graded it before we left and it was a huge improvement.

The water was a little low this year but the campgrounds were clean and mowed and the weather was great. Our boaters found many sandy beaches to play on and all the sites in the lake were beautiful. Many things close by such as the Garrison Dam, the spillway, Audubon, and good places to eat in Riverdale, Pick City and Coleharbor. All in all, great places to camp when you want to get away but not too far away.
