Berlin Lake (Mill Creek campground) is a very nice place to camp near the water, however they have a very serious raccoon problem. We camp at a lot of places and it is expected that you will have raccoons come by at night especially if you have accessible food, but they are very bad here we left our sunroof open and there were 6 of them in the truck and we counted over 20 at one time surrounding the campsite. They even came to our campsite at 4 in the afternoon while we were sitting there. They need to address this problem!

Site 83 was fantastic. Great view of the lake. Close enough to a small beach that we were able to port our kayak with effort. It is obvious that people feed the raccoons, warning, they start right after dark coming right up to you. Don't feed the animals or leave anything out they can get into! Great park, will return.

Campsite was well kept with a nice size camp side yard and good privacy. There is a narrow/steep path to a small arm/bay of the lake at the back of the site. Bedell Rd. goes over the lake at this arm resulting in a good amount of road noise during the day (which quiets down at night). Showers were clean and water was hot. Enjoyed biking through the camp, spending time sitting at the boat launch in the evenings and watching the Osprey with her young. The Beaver Creek Rail Trail in Leetonia (26 min away) was a very nice bike ride. Also in Leetonia are the remains of the historic Cherry Valley Coke Ovens (listed on the National Register of Historic Places), which is a unique park and worth a visit. Only complaints were; lady brought her dog into the shower house; site Hickory 8 parked a large boat and trailer in their campsite yard (along with a travel trailer and two trucks), and dump station had no hose to rinse out the black tank. Enjoyed our time at Mill Creek and will be back again.
