It would be nice if more sites had at least electricity. And it would be nice if they put in some full hook ups.

We have been camping in the same spot for nearly 30 years. Our kids now go out there to camp with their families. The main showers are clean and the sites are cleaned before arrival. There is a good amount of space and trees between camps so you aren't directly next to your neighbor. They have lake front sites where we can pull the boat up without having to take it out every night. The live in staff drive by several times a day as well as police to check that everything is safe. There is a drive thru just outside of the park to pick up ice and other sundries. There are several swimming beaches for the kids as well as park ranger activities and play grounds. The roads are perfect for bikes. One word of caution, the nightly raccoon visits are startling for new campers. They are MASTERS of getting into coolers and dry goods. If you leave food out, they will eat it! (cans of soda included) They aren't mean or confrontational, they are just very persistent. Throw a couple bungee cords around the cooler so they can't lift the lid and put your dry goods in the car for the night. Noah's ark is just down the road, and it is a small sanctuary for exotic animals. It's a nice break from camping and admission helps keep the sanctuary open. On quiet nights, you can hear the lions roar from your camp. We highly recommend camping here!

this is by far my favorite campground we have ever been too. the facilities are clean and the sites are spaced apart enough you don't feel like you are on top of each other

Right... so, we have been letting our boys drive on our laps in the campground for a decade. No one has ever said anything. We have done it in front of Rangers, other campers, and have seen other campers do it.

This year, some camper complained, so we got hit with a $50 fine. PLUS $30 “processing” fee (which is total BS).

Like, how about a warning? Instead, Hannah had prove she was “Head Ranger” and wrote a ticket.

C’mon, man.

Look, we’re coming back. But this is ridiculous. We love your campground. But I guarantee we’re done with you if you start enforcing the rules ONLY on my family.

And save the “well, if we see the other people doing it, we’ll enforce it,” argument.

They do it. They didn’t get reported. So this year, we got to pay an extra $80.

Not next year, fam. Not if this continues.

Cancellation policy

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
