This is our go to camp ground. We love the primitive camping sites - specifically the Oak Loop. The campground is always clean and we don't usually have any issues with noise. Camp hosts are attentive and if you happen to be camping over a holiday weekend, they do some cute little parades in their golf carts - this was a welcome surprise and my kids loved it.
Swimming here is great. I'm not a huge fan of the actual beach because it is very rocky - but I take my kids (and dogs) off to some of the other areas where there is water access and swim there. The water is always clean. The people at the check in station are always friendly and helpful. They offer life jackets for use if you forgot your own. Dumping stations are adequate - nothing to specifically mention. We love kayaking and fishing here, and I would really like to check out Noah's lost ark down the street.
My only complaint about the campground is that there is usually never any toilet paper in the bathrooms. So I just bring my own!
Favorite sites Oak 17, 19, 21, 78, 79 (all with water access) and 44 (no water access)
I do however despise this website and the booking process. It is not user friendly and it has caused us to book incorrectly, leaving us one day without a camp site. We had to pack up and move everything after it was already set up - a HUGE inconvenience when we are camping with children, kids and multiple sites. We were not the only family that this happened to either. A family that was camping near us said that they same thing happened to them.

Park is huge, yet it's very well maintained. The crew is knowledgeable and polite.
I would also recommend a visit to Noah's Lost Ark

The sites were roomy and mostly very very level. I stayed an extra night because I like it so much.

Nice campground. We camp here a lot. However we camped in Maplewood. We had campers walking through our site then complaining about our large dog that was on a 6 ft tie out. Lack of camp host was a concern. Arrived around 5 and no one was there. No events for kids. In fact never seen them clean sites till Sunday when there was people leaving through the weekend. But the grass actually mowed this time. That was a plus.
