The grass was not cut for many weeks and was at least 12-18 inches long. Not enjoyable environment and bathrooms were not very clean and stocked with tp. The camp hosts at maple are not very friendly or helpful.

The grass was extremely high! So high we had to put mats down around the firepit so we could sit around the fire. We were a group of 3 sites and all 3 sites were very tall grass.
Only gave a 3 star rating because Dominic, the camp host, was a very friendly and helpful host. If not for him it would be a 1-star review.

When we arrived at our site, the first thing I noticed was the ridiculously long grass. The front few feet of our campsite had been mowed. The back of our campsite where the picnic table and fire ring were located looked like it had not been mowed all season. The grass was as high as our knees. We were camping with friends and their sites were the same, if not worse, than our site. If we had not planned this camping trip 6 months ago with friends, my husband and I would have probably left and went home. I have never camped at a private campground before. We normally stick to state parks. I do not plan to return in the future and I would not recommend this campground to others. When one of the people in my group spoke to the camp host, he said he was not allowed to help us with the grass because they pay a mowing company to cut the grass. He said he had a push mower but had gotten in trouble for helping others with it in the past. This tells me that the campground has been in this unkept state for a while. At this point, I plan to stick to camping in state parks.

I would have given Mill Creek a 5 star rating, but I wanted to make sure someone knew about the condition of the campground. Grass in campground and camp site has not been mowed in a number of weeks.
