Fire Lake Campground

Hands down best campground in the area! We stayed here three times while our daughter was at BGSU. Well maintained and any of the spots on the lake are perfect! We stayed in spot 31 twice and it was right on the lake and close to everything. Thank you for a wonderful few years! We just may be back to camp because we loved it so much here!

Husband and wife ownership and the two of them do NOT communicate. Husband originally stated we could NOT have a physical fence due to concerns of mowing the campsite. He recommended that we obtain an electric fence to accommodate mowing (We purchased $300 system to comply with this request). While the dogs were being trained with this new technology for them, the wife approached with hostility that the dogs "must be leashed because it is a health code violation". (Extensive research into Ohio Health Code laws we couldn't find any such laws). While trying to explain to the wife what the husband had stated, we were constantly interrupted and not heard as would be expected in a civil conversation.

Later the husband came back with the wife and said the physical fence was fine. The campgrounds rules were handed over with unnecessary aggression. The conversation again was one sided due to the couple continuously interrupting when we tried to speak.

We thank Jamie for her HOSTILITY, it promped us to find a campgrounds with clear management amd uniform rule application to have a PEACFUL remaing camping experience for the next 17 months. We have moved on.

Just arrived for summer months. Clean and beautiful. Everyone works to keep own campsite well maintained. Owners very nice to work with

Nice, peaceful campground. Owners are kind, and helpful. Lake is clean, great for swimming and fishing.

The $32/night rate is calculated on our month-long stay and includes electricity. Even before arriving, the owner texted me our site number. Walked down to the office to check in. Super friendly and helpful with area attractions. We were in site #2, which was a pull-thru and away from the majority of RVs. It was nice and quiet up there!! Site was level and all utilities worked great. You are a couple minute drive from town with a Walmart, DG, Home Depot, and fast food right there. Despite being so close to town, it was very quiet. So many sites within an hour, we spent most days out exploring. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. Thank you!!!
