Sun Valley Family Campground

Wish I could give this experience zero stars but one is what they get. We arrived at the campground (November 2025) and the office was closed. Bathroom locked. I called the phone number I had and no answer. Left a message. A woman who was staying in the facility came to throw away garbage and said she knew the manager and would call her. When the manager (Vicki Painter based on the business card I took) finally came down, she treated us like we were a bother and the first thing she asked me was if I paid. When I told her we had paid $60.00 for full hookup roughly 2 months ago via phone call, she agreed that was the cost but had no idea who we were and told us to go park anywhere. I was not comfortable with that as I did not know where to go and was a bit nervous because the place/camper units looked runned down and her directions were vague. Although she appeared annoyed she told me to follow her in her car and when she drove thru a site, we assumed that is where she wanted us to be. The site was not level nor could we access the sewer. It was miserable cold and snowy (none of which was the camp grounds fault understandably). When I called to make the reservation, they did not send me any instructions, site number or a receipt (did charge my credit card immediately however). I called the week before to verify our arrival as I was nervous because I had not heard anything from them and was assured all was well. This was not a good experience in spite of the weather. We did not feel welcome and did not even get to hook up fully, slept a few hrs and then got back on the road - couldn't wait to get back home and what should have been a pleasant last evening of our vacation was anything but. Only a waste of money. Perhaps it was the time of year but anyone who books here hopefully will have a better experience. Hosts should be friendly and accommodating to some degree to their guests. Lesson learned and I am sorry to have to write this bad review

2024 camped here had sewage issue at the drain they was here till 10:00 pm at night fixing it 2. Very friendly 3. Very helpful 4. Quiet place 5 Very nice to give my favorite available spot having disabilities 6. Wish they had a dog park to let my furry friends run , nice place to on walks

We rented two tent sites and paid for the electric sites. The sites weren’t even on the map. And the electric was had to run a 200’ extension cord to a building.

Nothing to do. We booked 2 spots beside each other and when we got there we had 2 separate spots. Spaces are just big enough for travel trailer and 1 vehicle. No room for corn hole boards and nothing for kids to do. Fished for 2 hours and not even a bite. Tried 3 different bates that they sold. Just very unhappy. Only reason got 1 star is because it had full hook up.

I used to go here and swim as a kid until one day I thought my friend had thrown a log at me, and when I picked it up said log smashed in between my fingers and had a funny odor to it. Come to learn years later that it was his poop. That stinks
