Jellystone Park™ Columbus North

This is the camp we returned to year after year, we loved it! Cabins are still very nice, although this year when we arrived ours was very dirty with pet hair. No big deal we sweapt up. The issue we had this year was exposed metal in water and inflatables that were partially deflating making you sink when attempting to climb them.

The new kiddie pool and the jumping pad are both great additions. Foam activities, candy bar bingo, tie dye, etc were still a major hit. The food trucks were a nice addition also, however they ran out of French fries and buns for burgers. They never restocked the week we were there. The ice cream was yummy, but again ran out of chocolate ice cream. These are minor and we didn't care about it, just odd.

We had fun, but came home with an injury from the metal in water and needed 2 Dr visit while camping for it. First was initial visit to see if a tetanus booster or stitches were needed and 2nd was because the wound got infected and needed antibiotics.

Overall we did enjoy ourselves, but with unexpected trouble. We will be going to another Jellystone park next year because this one isn't what it once was. We have done 3 different Jellystones, with this one being the only one we have done 5+ times as it was our favorite prior to this visit.

Other campers are always so nice. We share fire, fireworks, jokes and the kids played imposter together. We did all the classis stuff. Smores. Cards. Stories.

The cabin had tv which was important this summer with Soccer happening, huge fans.

If they inflate the inflatables and most importantly make sure there isn't anything sharp in water we would absolutely return.

I hate writing this review... This was our favorite place.

What a wonderful little park!

We really enjoyed staying here. The park is very picturesque and it truly felt like camping!

We stayed in the Cindy Bear cabins and they were really nice. Ours was missing a regular size coffee pot (had a keruig), bowls, knives. So bring your own. The futon had a lot of crumbs in the crack of it. The cleaning crew needs to vacuum them! The cabins were not that clean but as we were leaving the new crew told me they had been short handed and apologized. We did have to go to the ranger station for more TP and trash bags because they didn’t have enough in the cabin.

We rented a golf cart, which I highly recommend. One of our favorite things to do was take a ride in the evening.

There are two pools here. The big pool has rough on the bottom and they emptied it the day we left to fix the issue. The other pool was smaller but nice.

They had daily activities to do and we did see the bears out a few times.
The dog run is really nice, but not near the camping sites.
There is a jumping pillow for the kids to play on near the dog run.

They have two food trucks here for snacks. One with hot food, which had a large variety, the other with just chocolate ice cream.

The wibit was fun for the kids and I’m glad they included it with the stay. You do need to bring a life jacket or rent one from the park if you use it.
The paddle boats (duck & flamingos) were a fun activity buy most of them were not working. They definitely need to fix these.

The pond was nice to fish in and we did catch some. Definitely bring your fishing gear. They do sell worms at the store. The store had a nice variety of Jellystone themed products and a few food items. There is a Kroger near by if you need anything they don’t have.

Lots of raccoons at this park.. so put your food away at night! We were near the woods.

Our party of 12 all lived this small park and we plan to return next year!

We recently stayed at Jellystone and overall had a great time. The campground amenities are excellent, and the cabins were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. There is plenty for families to do, and it's easy to see why so many people return year after year.

The biggest disappointment for us was the craft program. The crafts seem to be the same from year to year, and many of them felt fairly basic and uninspired. With a camping-themed family destination, there is so much potential for more creative, nature-inspired, and memorable craft activities that kids would be excited about.

We were also a little concerned about supervision at the lake. There was a staff member present, but we didn't observe much active monitoring or enforcement of rules. While we understand parents are ultimately responsible for their children, having more engaged supervision would help improve safety and the overall experience.

Despite those concerns, we still enjoyed our stay and appreciated the cabins, amenities, and family-friendly atmosphere. With some improvements to the crafts and lake supervision, the experience would be even better.

This was our first experience with a Jellystone campground and we were so impressed with how wonderful everything was for us. We traveled with a pop up camper and had two boys (11 and 10yo) that loved the lake to fish in and the water obstacle course gave them hours of entertainment. The campsite where we were located were so nice and had ample shade from beautiful trees. Check-in and check-out was a breeze and the staff were all very nice.

Since we were in a pop up camper, we were required to use the community bathrooms. Our only issue was that the bathrooms were not always cleaned and the showers had mildew in the shower stalls. Not a complete deterrent because we are camping but this was the only thing we could say that could use a bit more attention.

Our whole vacation was so much fun and we are already planning on coming again multiple times. We are also recruiting friends and family for a group camping weekend. Thank you to the staff for a great time!

The master bedroom and the bathroom was very small. It was difficult to help young children in the bathroom. The bunkbed room had more room to move around. The table only had room for four people. I think a larger refrigerator would be great. The setup was a bit crowded for six people. The outdoor deck was very nice. The kitchen had a very limited amount of kitchen tools, pans, and silverware. More shelf space would have been great. The cabin was very clean. It would make cabin campers' lives easier if bedding and towels were included. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help with any needs and activities. The camp area was definitely a hit with kids. There wasn't much space to store things when we wre there for a week.
